Though I am glad we have folks donating to countries outside of U.S. for ebola and disease, it is hard to observe U.S. researchers seemingly silent on disease outbreaks and an administration so shockingly ignorant or dismissive of the cost and unwillingness to provide funding. Thank you.

Another interesting update. We actually do know what hhv-6 does in the body. We know it's highest in female patients which correlates here because of the high severity score (also higher in female patients) and due to Prusty's work we know one of the mechanisms is mitochondrial fragmentation. Which is high even if you've only got a tiny amount of hhv-6 reactivation - again proven by Prusty. As I'm on the mild end I would assume my hhv-6 is mostly dormant although my immune supressive long COVID symptoms are not great now. I get recurrent oral thrush which takes weeks to go away.
